Gina From The Champions. 

A Superstar of Showbiz. Gina and The Champions dominated the Showband era with multiple hit records and sold out shows right around the country for decades  Her biggest hits included  "Minnie Minnie", "Do You Wanna Do It", "You're the Greatest Lover", "Who Do You Wanna Be", "Give Me Back My Love" and "Playing with Fire", plus many more. They were voted Top Irish Pop Band in voters polls year after year over the period also. She still belts it out and sounds as great.

Shaun O’Dowd. We are delighted to welcome back Shaun to this year’s show!

With his band “Ding-A-ling” he was one of the biggest drawing acts in Ireland right through the 70’s. He topped the charts for weeks with his smash hit recordsYou Are No Angel” and “It’s Good To See You All you could ask for in an entertainerAn outstanding top class Artist!

Keith and Lorraine McDonald. This great Brother and Sister combination from one of the oldest musical families in Ireland. Their Father, Frankie was trumpet player with Joe Dolan for many years. Lorraine is one of the brightest talents to emerge from the late Showband era and Keith is a star in his own rightWatch their smash hit show “Keith & Lorraine’s Music Hour”

Dave Lawlor. This Tullamore man’s magnificent voice will capture you. Had a massive hit with his smash hit record ”Showband’s on Parade” In the Seventies!!

The Conquerors Showband. One of the greatest Showbands of them all and still packing them in everywhere they go. The Galway boys sang “Baby Blue” and many more hits

The show’s exciting finale is an ALL Cast Salute to the Showband Era. 

All of the stars join in for a medley of songs from the unique Showband YearsBringing you back in time to this magical musical period.

It will send you home with great memories of wonderful and never to be repeated time in Irish popular music

ICO – Three Worlds

ICO – Water Music

Deirdre McKay’s Meltwater evokes the fragile beauty of ice slowly melting, an emotional reflection on water in a time of climate change. With subtle, shimmering textures, it captures both the wonder of nature and the quiet urgency of a warming world. In contrast, Handel’s Water Music offers a lively dance-driven celebration of nature’s beauty drawing on historical grandeur and dance rhythms, for  performance on the ThamesEvocative and enchanting these thought-provoking works will capture hearts.

Irish Chamber Orchestra celebrates 30th years at the heart of Limerick’s musical life. Julie Andrews: A 90th Birthday Celebration with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra

Dame Julie Andrews has enjoyed a career spanning seven decades. She is a multi-award-winning actor and singer, with an Academy Award, a BAFTA, two Emmys, three Grammys and six Golden Globe awards. Having first appeared in London’s West End in 1948, she rose to prominence on Broadway in The Boyfriend in 1954, followed by My Fair Lady and Camelot. She made her feature film debut in Mary Poppins, winning the Academy Award for Best Actress, and followed that success with a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in the Sound Of Music.

In her 90th year, the RTÉ Concert Orchestra – joined by vocalists Graham Bickley, Katie Birtill and Kelly Mathieson – celebrate her long and varied career with an evening of music that will include so many songs we have all grown to love.

My Leonard Cohen 

For the very first time on the UCH Limerick stage Stewart D’Arrietta and his band will bring his rousing celebration of the late legendary Cohen’s best loved Music, Poetry and Stories to life right before your very eyes.

World class musicians offer gutsy and imaginative arrangements of the great singer-songwriter’s most powerful works , driven by D’Arrietta’s raw vocals. This is Cohen’s music as you’ve never heard it before.

The Classic Tower of Song, sensual I’m Your Man, and anthemic Hallelujah, are just a few of the Cohen Favourites given the D’Arrietta treatment. New Songs for 2025/26 include the heartrending Inmy Secret Life ,Kaleidoscopic Closing Time and menacing The Future.

D’Arrietta has enjoyed a long career as a performer ,composer and music director , performing in venues across the globe from New York to Tokyo. D’Arrietta on piano is joined by a Live band of celebrated International musicians.
