Lucy, a charming loner and Chicago Transit Authority ticket booth operator, has a secret and hopeless crush on the handsome commuter who passes her booth every day. During an ordinary Christmas shift, she saves the object of her desire after he falls on the tracks, only to be mistaken for his fiancée at the hospital. As she struggles with how to admit the truth to his warm and welcoming family, unforeseen romantic affairs further complicate matters. Will Lucy face the consequences of what happened while he was sleeping?
