The Aragon High School Music Department has a rich history of developing high quality students and musicians. Throughout their high school careers, students have opportunities to engage in multiple levels of music study to encourage not only growth and development, but to foster a deep love of music. This extends to performing for a variety of audiences everywhere from the local community to across oceans. The members of the Aragon Band and Orchestra are pleased to be performing for you tonight alongside the Thomond Wind Ensemble from Limerick City.
The Thomond Wind Ensemble, based in Limerick City, is a dynamic and vibrant wind orchestra founded in 2024 by Dr. Andrew Jordan, conductor and music educator. As Limerick's newest ensemble, it brings together talented brass, wind and percussion players from across the mid west region to perform an exciting and diverse repertoire from the wind band tradition. Under the artistic direction of Dr. Jordan, the ensemble aims to engage audiences with both classical and contemporary works, fostering a strong sense of community through music while showcasing the rich possibilities of wind ensemble performances.
