Declan O’Rourke: Since Kyabram 20th Anniversary

Declan O’Rourke: Since Kyabram 20th Anniversary

Declan O’Rourke makes a welcome return, this time celebrating the 20th Anniversary of his debut album ‘Since Kyabram'

In October 2004, amongst a thriving Dublin music scene Declan O’Rourke’s debut album Since Kyabram was released.

In its first week, Since Kyabram entered the charts at Number 5 and over the following two years achieved gold, platinum and twice platinum status. The Album held within it a collection of songs which have grown in popularity over the years. Galileo, Sarah, No Place To Hide, We Didn’t Mean To Go To Sea and Marrying The Sea are amongst the titles which led to award nominations and plaudits from Paul Weller, Eddi Reader, Paul Brady and Snow Patrol.

Hot Press voted Since Kyabram their Debut Album of the year and without doubt its release jumpstarted a career which introduced Declan to an audience who have been on this journey with him, for 20 years.

Being fully immersed in the music once more for just a handful of special 20th Anniversary concerts will also be very exciting!" – Declan O’Rourke

“Since Kyabram is a record I’m very proud of, both as an introductory body of work and a collection of songs individually. After 20 years I’m still hugely nostalgic for it and love that it has become a favourite for so many others. To celebrate and release Kyabram all over again, this time with a deeper dive inside the tapes, is going to be such a trip."

Dolans Presents Moonlight The Phil Lynott Enigma

BRIAN KENNEDY JOINS CAST OF “MOONLIGHT: THE PHILIP LYNOTT ENIGMA”

AS OSCAR WILDE FOR JUNE PERFORMANCES AT VICAR STREET & UCH LIMERICK

After the sell-out success of its debut shows at Vicar Street in April, we are delighted to announce that renowned Irish singer-songwriter Brian Kennedy is set to join the cast of the critically acclaimed rock-theatre production Moonlight: The Philip Lynott Enigma, portraying literary icon Oscar Wilde in a special extra nights run at Vicar Street on June 20th & 21st and at UCH Limerick on June 24th.

Brian Kennedy says: “I’m beyond thrilled to be part of “Moonlight” and of course to bring something new to the legend of Oscar! I feel like I have finally met Phil Lynott and Brendan Behan”.

Moonlight is a powerful new production that delves into the early life of Thin Lizzy frontman Philip Lynott, portraying him not just as a rock legend but as a literary figure worthy of standing alongside Wilde and Behan. The show blends live music—including Thin Lizzy classics and original compositions—with theatrical storytelling to explore Lynott’s formative years in Dublin and London during the late 1960s and early '70s.

Brian Kennedy’s portrayal of Oscar Wilde adds a compelling layer to the narrative, drawing a poetic connection between two of Dublin’s most influential cultural figures.

The production is created by John Merrigan and Danielle Morgan, directed by Jason Figgis, and stars Peter M. Smith as Philip Lynott.
