HSE Sing For Wellbeing Concert
Sponsored by HSE Healthy Ireland Staff Health and Wellbeing Programme
As part of Healthy Ireland and Staff Health and Wellbeing – HSE Workplace Choirs from across the country will perform to celebrate the impact of singing on their health and wellbeing. This is the first time such a large gathering of HSE staff will come together to attend such a celebration and enjoy this unique experience.
The following HSE choirs will perform on the day: AMNCH Tallaght Hospital, SCRUBS (Cork University Hospital), Tullamore Staff Choir, Naas Workplace Choir, Heart & Soul Choir (Mullingar), Merlin Miscellany (Saolta), Ennis Hospital Singers (UL Hospital Group), Chimers (Limerick Mental Health Services), Sligo University Hospital (Saolta), Galway University Hospital Choral Society (Saolta)
In what can be a challenging work environment, singing in a choir can help alleviate stress, create social connection among work colleagues, improve mental wellbeing and offer retired colleagues the chance to stay connected. For this reason Health Promotion and Improvement sponsored UL Irish World Academy of Music and Dance to carry out research into the impact of choirs on HSE Staff Health and Wellbeing. The findings of this research will be launched at this event.
This HSE staff event is sponsored by Strategic Planning and Transformation, Staff Health and Wellbeing Programme in partnership with Healthy Ireland in the HSE, Values in Action and Staff Engagement along with the Quality Improvement Division, University of Limerick Hospital Group and Community Health Organisation 3.
This is a FREE Event, but tickets can be secured in advance by contacting the UCH Box Office at 061 331549.
