Changing Choral Colour – Workshop with James Davey
Limerick Sings International Choral Festival
Live Workshop via Zoom
From Renaissance Polyphony to Britney Spears, experience and explore many of the different vocal colours that we can use for singing in different languages and styles. Visiting choral music from around the world, this workshop will uncover all the techniques you need to perform with a wide palette of choral colours with authenticity and flair.
Presented with the support of Sing Ireland
This workshop is open to all, but is recommended for slightly more experienced singers.
Please note these workshops are FREE but tickets must be pre-booked and places will be limited.
Limerick Sings is delighted to welcome, James Davey, to this year’s festival. James is one of the UK’s most distinguished and respected choral directors, in demand for his work as conductor, choir trainer, arranger and adjudicator.
James Davey is Musical Director for Chantage, winners of the Malta International Choral Competition Grand Prix 2015 and BBC Radio 3 Choir of the Year 2006, the Chandos Chamber Choir, Amici Cantate, Halstead Choral and 4Tunes, the award-winning staff choir at Channel 4 TV in association with Music in Offices.
He is a conducting tutor for the Association of British Choral Directors and the Association of Irish Choirs, and leads choirs on courses for the Chester Choral Week (formerly Cranleigh Choral Week), the Dart Festival Chorus and the Sherborne Summer School of Music.
